Food Security Projects
Food insecurity is a pressing issue in Canada, affecting millions of people, including 1 in 4 children.
It's alarming that many food insecure households are working households.
At the Erickson & Area Food Bank, we strive to provide nutritious food and support health and wellness programs.
Our mission is to help those in need and create a healthier, more secure community.

Food Bank
Join us the first 2 Wednesday's of the month, from 12-3 PM for our free food distribution program at EAFB. If you're interested in registering for a hamper or donating food, please contact us.
*Please note that due to budget constraints, we are currently operating on a first-come-first-served basis for registered clients only. We hope to be available to everyone who needs food in the future. Thank you for your understanding.

FROM OUR CHAIR BOARD
Rick Proven
"At the Erickson & Area Food Bank, we believe that no one in our community should ever go hungry. Our motto, "Food for All-Gakina Awiyaa Omiciwin,' reflects our commitment to ensuring that every individual and family has access to nutritious food with dignity and respect.
Each month, we distribute over 170 hampers to 300-500 neighbors, but the need continues to grow. Behind these numbers are real people-parents struggling to put food on the table, seniors facing impossible choices, and children who deserve a better future.
We couldn't do it without the generosity of our donors, volunteers, and partners. Yet, the challenges remain: rising costs, unpredictable donations, and the urgent need for stable funding. That's why we're calling our community to stand with us- whether through monthly donations, volunteering, or simply spreading the word.
Together, we can build a stronger, more resilient community where everyone has the food they need to thrive. Because when we take care of each other, our community succeeds."
